Multicargo eCITY is not a compromise when it comes to comfort. For urban and suburban use, it offers surprisingly more than you would expect. It is a thoughtfully designed city EV that leverages the legislative advantages of the L7e-CP category to benefit design, operation, and everyday convenience.
Thanks to L7e-CP homologation, the license plate is mounted only on the rear of the vehicle. The front therefore remains clean, without a license plate, which not only highlights the modern look, but also brings practical advantages in real-world use.
The vehicle is not readable for most stationary speed cameras and camera systems that capture plates from the front. This is a feature you will appreciate during normal driving as well as when parking in the city, especially in areas monitored by mobile camera systems.
Additional benefits include a motorway vignette free of charge, vehicle inspection only once every four years (the first one only after six years of operation), and lower compulsory insurance costs. Multicargo eCITY can also be driven from the age of 17 with a B1 driving licence, without a mentor.
Efficiency that makes sense
Electric drive delivers minimal operating and service costs, quiet operation, and significantly lower mechanical stress. The absence of oils, filters, a clutch, or a complex gearbox eliminates common service items found in combustion vehicles and reduces downtime. The result is smooth, economically predictable operation which, in urban and suburban environments—including frequent starts and driving under load—translates into long-term savings. The instantly available torque of the electric motor also ensures confident pull-away and smooth acceleration even when fully loaded, so in urban dynamics, eCITY is fully comparable to conventional vehicles.
In city operation, energy recuperation during deceleration and braking also plays an important role, helping extend real-world range and reduce the energy demands of daily use. Zero-emission and quiet operation also enables full-value use of the vehicle in densely built-up areas and city centres, where comfort, operating culture, and environmental responsibility are key priorities.

Why eCITY is economically advantageous
Compared to a similarly sized combustion-engine vehicle, eCITY offers significantly lower total operating costs. With an average consumption of around 8 kWh per 100 km and an electricity price of approximately 0,38 EUR per kWh, energy costs come to roughly 3 EUR per 100 km. For combustion vehicles in city driving, fuel costs typically start at around 8 EUR per 100 km, even before factoring in regular service expenses.
A significant difference is also seen in servicing. Electric drive removes the need for regular engine oil changes, filters, spark plugs, clutch replacement, and other mechanically stressed components, resulting in a substantial reduction in service costs and unplanned downtime. Even with a conservative annual mileage of around 10,000 km, total savings on energy and servicing can reach approximately 800 EUR per year, with the gap widening further as mileage increases.
Based on a model calculation reflecting typical vehicle use, operating savings over five years can reach approximately one third of the purchase price. After accounting for these savings, the effective purchase price of eCITY is around 4000 EUR, making it not only an eco-friendly but, above all, an economically very sensible choice for everyday operation.
